 I found this pattern online and it gives permission to tat it...and even sell the tatting..just not to sell the pattern.  It has been a long time since I tatted anything and I loved doing this bookmark.  The variegated thread is a kaleidoscope of gorgeous colors that change from one color to another before your eyes like magic.

The tail of the bookmark is made of 'split rings'  which I'm out of practise with, but I've got it going now!  The first two inches or so are just a curly repetition of a half st.

 Here you can see the split....see how one half of the larger oval loop is yellow on one side and solid pink on the other side?   In a split ring like this, the ovals are joined end to end instead of the normal....'side to side' joins.

 Here is the next ball of luscious color waiting to be tatted up into one of these flower book-markers.  Don't  you just love color....I do!

 Here we have little 'Baby Beth'.  Long years ago I would sew Baby Beth matching dresses to go with my little girl's  dress or blouse and off to kindergarten they would go.

I don't know if I like my yellow purse or not.   Last year I quickly sewed up this floral one....I called it my rag purse because the strap was just roughly finished.  And I loved it....loved it!   It was pretty and as light as air to carry.  Well, that is before I filled it up with 'stuff'.

 We dry apples in our dehydrator that I got one year...like new at a yard sale.  Oh happy day!  and did I tell you how delicious they are?  Yes...yes  they are really good!

I found these recipes in a copy of Taste of Home.  All the yummy things you can make with a tube of crescent roll dough.  Oh how I wish ....I wish....someone would make gluten free crescent roll dough for me....ha ah.  Mother used to tell us,  'if wishes were horses, beggers would ride'.  So ends that wish!.

You know that little hymnal I told you about?  Well, Charles Wesley wrote an amazing number of hymns that just are soul thrilling with their truths and worship.  Sharing part of one here....and hoping your day and evening are filled with  tranquility.   p.s. now that that was said about Charles Wesley...I find a gem by James Montgomery.  I hope you like this as much as I do.

'Come at morning hour...Come, let us kneel and pray;
Prayer is the Christian pilgrim's staff...To walk with God all day.

At noon, beneath the Rock Of ages, rest and pray;
Sweet is that shelter from the sun...In weary heat of day.

At evening, in thy home, ....Around its altar, pray;
And finding there the house of God,
With heaven then close the day.

When midnight veils our eyes,...O it is sweet to say,
"I sleep, but my heart waketh, Lord,
With thee to watch and pray."   J. Montgomery

lovely tatting ~ something so beautiful that I have never attempted to do. Looks complicated and I do not like working with such fine threads. Well, my fingers don't :)

What beautiful tatting you have done! I love the way the work vines down like leaves. It really is such a beautiful form of handwork. I envy your skill.

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm
thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for novice blog writers? I'd genuinely appreciate it.
