Sweet summertime! Even the houseplants perk up and bloom merrily. My Grandmother used to set her houseplants outside in the summer. Her house had a side flower bed outside the door to the cellar. How everything she did seemed so very special to me as a little girl.

I know just what you mean about grandmas and everything they did being special. She loved gardenias, and had a bush outside the kitchen so she could smell it at the sink while she cooked or washed up. Thank you for bringing back that sweet memory

Your plants are thriving. Maybe you got your grandma's green thumb.

This really spoke to me this morning as I came over my morning dose of beauty and encouragement:) My granny was so special to me, too. She loved flowers and plants like yours. As a child I used to play outside at her house and could always hear her in the kitchen (she was wonderful southern cook). The sound of her frying chicken or washing dishes or baking cornbread or helping her pick tomatoes out of her garden was just heaven to me.

I love your delpheniums. I am growing them for the first time successfully this summer. One of mine is white. Have you ever seen that? I've only seen blue ones before.

What a sweet memory of your grandmother.
