What a blessed truth... that the Holy Spirit is with us always! ...'for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.' Hebrews 13:5b

.....From the hymn...'O how sweet to trust in Jesus' by Louise M.R.Stead and William J. Kirkpatrick, ...what a close and holy walk with the Lord they must have had to pen these precious truths.

O how sweet to trust in Jesus....Just to trust His cleansing blood, .....Just in simple faith to plunge me 'Neath the healing, cleansing flood.'

.....Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I've proved Him o'er and o'er!... Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more!

The Sunday I went forward for salvation the special music was 'There's Room At the Cross for You...Though millions have come, there's still room for one. Yes, there's room at the cross for you!' I knew that 'one' was me that God was speaking to. Is there a greater love than this? Grace held out to each and every soul...who comes to Him in humble repentance and in prayer asks to be saved from the penalty of their sins. Amen...yes Lord.

I finished the 'A Tides of Truth' series and enjoyed it very much. Maybe I've posted this picture before...hope not! Charles Martin is a fantastic author....He wrote 'When Crickets Cry'....about a little girl who needs a heart transplant or lifesaving heart surgery of some type. It was a fabulous read!!!

I'm interested in reading 'Healing of America'. I thought Charles Martin only wrote fiction. Right now I'm reading 'The Frontiersman's Daughter' by Laura Frantz. I stayed up till 2 a.m. last night, (ahh...this morning that is) reading this book. I'd turn out the light, then turn it back on to read some more.

Does any one else have a 'Betsy Ross' lamp? Well, thats what I call her anyway. We've had her for years and she is a keeper. How about that asparagus fern...it should be in a hanging planter, but we just never got around to it. It hangs down to the carpet and is quite pretty really.

The vintage postcard is so beautiful! Such a sweet and encouraging post. Fun Betsy Ross lamp and I have an asparagus fern that survived from last summer.

Such a pleasure stopping by to catch up with you!

Kindly, Lorraine

I have never seen a Betsy Ross lamp before....Nice piece!
I have an asparagus fern that is rather sparse. It needs a summer outdoors to revive it.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Dear Maggie Ann, thank you for your welcome comments, as you say I love to "really" comment and have "real" comments in return. Your Bible memorization is an inspiration and I will certainly put it into practice. In fact I have a really good opportunity tomorrow as I am going North to visit my family back in Derbyshire, the journey is about three hours by train, so I am going to start with the verses I can't ever remember in Psalm 1. I am ok with the first two, then I get a bit mixed up. I read the Word every day, but memorization has never been a strong point, so I am going to pray that this will be a new beginning.
Bless you!
