I love dishes, don't you? Here is part of my 'Virginia Rose' collection. A very small collection at that. Our(former) sweet Pastor's wife started housekeeping some years ago with this pattern and GAVE me! the dishes she had left for my collection. I don't think I could ever measure up to be like her. My, how sweet! This isn't a very good picture and two of the small plates aren't V.Rose at all.

This is my cozy bench that is under the shelf/dish display. What fun I have sometimes re-arranging things. And then there are those other times, when laundry sits on the bench instead of me...lol. Pretend you don't notice the doiley is off center on the back of the bench, ok. I love to have it exactly in the center. My Aunt who is in her 80's now..crocheted a set of these pink & white doileys as a wedding gift for us. I still enjoy them, all these years later. Wow, I'm thinking back to when I was 19...and now I am 61. I am so thankful for the blessings of God over the years. His grace is all sufficient...'my grace is sufficient for thee' II Corinthians 12:9 He has never failed us. Not once.

And last of all, a little picture of our guest room. I am so glad to have it neat now. It had become such a 'catch all'. You'll just have to imagine the mess it was before! Sucess, how grand!

I think your pastor's wife thinks you measure up to give you the family dishes. I like your cozy bench and guest room. Thanks for the tour it's next best thing to a live visit. I love blogging.

Very warm and inviting, your guest room that is .. I have yet to finish our guest room. I agree with Patsy's opinion about why the pastor's wife gave you her dishes :)

Hugs,

I just love your charming decorating style, sweet Maggie Ann. I probably wouldn't have noticed the off-centre doily if you hadn't pointed it out. ;)

You have a lovely home. Were the plates for Ruth H. I have a piece or Wedgewood from her.

I love dishes also. I don't know much about them but they are so pretty and bring back so many great memories. I love your guest room. It looks so inviting. I am sure many have enjoyed that room. Have a great day and thank you for sharing with us, the things that you love. connie

My dear, we are such kindred spirits in that I so enjoy all these things you've shown. What wonderful touches you have to your home. Besides the corner nook of books and the wicker, I thoroughly admire the rose dishes!! Now all I need to do is learn to knit and we'd be sisters. Oh wait, we are...sisters in the Lord. *wink*
