This cross-st project was one I did some years ago and just came across it. Isn't she delightful? Notice that big smile of contentment. Sometimes, a woman just has to have some quality...'for me' time, don't you agree? I find that stitching time is a time frame of sereneness, where time stops as the needle weaves a work of art, and in this case...humor. I am thankful to the Lord for giving the gifts and talents to mankind that he has.....that we may have the privilege of creating and enjoying the fruits of our labours. Days without number, he maketh my cup full and overflowing, and He alone deserves my hearts adoration. My friend and I are both working on a Cross St. chart by Lori Markovic. It is a very old-fashioned style sampler...that says 'Give us this day our daily bread'. We are encouraging and motivating one another along the way. I hope to post a picture of it soon. I have the words done and am working on the border. Happy day to you, thanks for coming by! Posted by Picasa

Good Morning Miss Maggie, *S*..I like your cross stitch piece. It's very nicely done. And I agree about the serenity that is available to us through stitching. I think women have used this opportunity for generations to reflect and pray.

Oh my that is cute!! I've done some cross stitch too and enjoy it..though I find it takes so long to do and it takes me so long to get it done lol...my friend just did up one for me of a cat sleeping on a rug with a bible verse on it...something about resting in God's arms I think...can't recall off hand, but it is really nice!

LOL! Cute, Maggie! (And thanks for your kind words on my blog - you must be such a joy to know in person. Your family and friends are very fortunate to have you in their lives, but I'm sure they know this).

That is such a cute piece!
I am looking forward to seeing your sampler.
Is it this one here?

Thank you as always, dear Maggie, for dropping by my blog and leaving me another message to treasure... I usually delete the comments from my inbox since they remain on my blog anyway... But I always keep yours in my inbox, so I can find them easily, and read and re-read them...

I haven't played on a violin for... nearly ten years. My studies and now my work won't allow it (or I would have to give up sewing!).
But I still sing - and I love singing while sewing!
Thank you so very much for your comment and for leaving those quotations from the Bible - "singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord".

What a blessing to know you, dear friend!

May your night be filled with sweet dreams (you must be sleeping as I am writing) and may your day be beautiful and happy!
Sending fond thoughts from France...
