A rainy weekend made enjoyable by...

I am enjoying this sweet English mystery very much.  Its plot is overshadowed with calm and beloved days, with a loving relationship of newlyweds.....hints of humor and friendships. Very good....

Hubby and I put together this adorable 300 piece puzzle this weekend.  I started it and was bemoaning all those white pieces and he came and stuck with me to the very end.  The puzzle pieces are very large....and very white for the most part. This puzzle is by Patricia Bourque, by Suns Out.

It rained as if the world was going to flood last evening. I'm afraid for the people whose basements are prone to taking on water.

If you have an 'Amazon Echo Dot'... Amazon gives a free Audible book each month.  Just say, 'Alexa, whats free from Audible?'   Trouble is,  those free books are not usually to my taste.  Once in a while a title comes along thats more to my liking. But, free is worth checking out.  ~~ What a rainy day,  just right for reading and napping.  (My PK meds make me sleepy...to much of the time)

Psalm 16:1 'Preserve me , O God; for in thee do I put my trust.'

Good Afternoon, I keep hoping we are going to receive rain this afternoon, too. Thank you for sharing about this book. It looks like one that I would love very much. I found a book in a thrift store for a quarter this weekend, by A. A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh author). It is The Red House mystery. Just started it, but I think I will like it (from 1922).
I take medicine for restless legs and I know about medicine making you sleepy.
God bless your week.

I'll look for that book. I like to read mysteries but most are pretty rough...if you know what I mean. We watched the movie Cross Creek this weekend (again) and you forget how sad many of the scenes are. I'm glad we got to go to the house and see where she lived and the movie was set. Hugs!

i like mystery novels that have a serenity about them ... i think you would like Julie Klassen ... she writes like jane austin ... her books take place in edwardian england ... i love the picturesque country portraits she creates in her mysteries ... AND, i emailed you a few posters - also please feel free to copy and share any off my blog ... i make them when God gives a thought & inspiration - they come freely to me, so i freely share ... ((hugs))
