Happy December 1st...

No snow yet...here in Pa.  The sky was dark and looked like snow but it rained instead and the cold wind blew something fierce. But soon we were in a cozy booth at Panara Bread, enjoying some turkey chili with chunks of whole wheat bread, hot mango tea and a cherry pastry for dessert.  Every day is a better day if  you have dessert. It is for me, for sure!

Have you put your Christmas tree up yet?  Ours is up, nothing grand but oh so  pretty at night.  I have been rounding up things to donate to good will places.  Our home seems to have gotten smaller over the years, as I bring home many books and things that charm me most.  I have to  believe it will make a difference or why care so much about de-clutttering.  Well, Happy December 1st....the days roll by like they are part of a train...zipping by.  Don't tell anyone but I'd love to see some snow come drifting down. =)

Ah, Maggie, you paint such an inviting portrait of your little trips out.

I too would like to see a bit of snow.......but not on the days when I have to travel !

No tree yet...my home just seems too small too ! But IT IS ENOUGH....PRAISE BE TO GOD !

our grass is still green! very unusual for middle canada! but that is fine, it will make winter that much shorter! i have lights around our windows and my christmas tablecloths on ... i don't think i'll decorate much more than that this year - just enough to add light to the evening darkness ... and to celebrate HIM who came to give us that LIGHT for our lives ... so glad for Jesus and so glad for those who shine in the darkness of our world - like you! big ((hugs))

Lovely December 1st post. Thought I'd take some time this early morning to catch up with you. I have been packing like crazy! After several delays we are finally leaving Tucson on Tuesday! It's been 60s-70s here (40s at night, though we did have two freezes about a week & 1/2 ago) I am heading toward the snow!
