El Capitan has crippled my Mac!

I am trying to post on my mini.  It is impossible on the Mac. It just freezes up repeatedly and I keep walking away defeated.    It is nasty cold here in our part of Pa.  But, I am looking forward to the upcoming sheep and wool festivals.  I just finished Laura Child's book....Ming Tea Murder.  I was'nt able to guess the ending but then I never am.  I hope this post goes through and I don't have to stop blogging.

'God, give me the faith of a little child,....A faith that will look up to thee.....That never will falter and never fail....But follow thee trustingly'.  Showerman.

When we installed El Capitan, we backed up the computer, restored it to factory settings, then downloaded El Capitan and then restored from back up. You might still be able to do this. Hubby said you have to make an install disc out of a USB drive. I don't know if you have anyone that can help you do this. We had others who told us what do to because of their nightmare. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
