Isn't this wonderful?

I've never seen another quilt like this one.  This is beautifully done and so appealing.  I'm liking it...no wonder it got a blue ribbon.  It was on display recently at the library and I snapped a picture.

Hubby got me this little tea set at a yard sale....and I've used it so much.  It keeps the tea nice and hot and the little 'eyes' (translucent spots) are see through.  You never know what will turn out to be a favorite of all the things we lug home...lol.

I bought this pattern recently and am looking forward to embroidering it.  Embroidery is popular again.  Whoever would have thought!  My Mom used to embroider pillowcases.  Green and purple/lavender seemed to be her favorite colors.  We were in a store recently and they had about oh...let me see....50 to 80 embroidery patterns...some stamped right on the pillowcases etc.  I was very impressed.

This isn't a very good picture but I bought this joyful little girl flinging her music notes around with delight.  As soon as I saw her I knew it was a purchase for certain. Reflected in the glass are the artist and my fingers though.  Craft shows,  aren't they great!

Hope you have a blessed Lord's Day and   a nice week.  I got a skirt sewed this week and am happy...happy that it fit.  Now I want to sew more.  You know how it goes, right?  Success is the energy that runs the whole train sometimes.  Does that make sense?  =)

"I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD."       Psalm 104:33,34.

Hi sweet friend! What a delightful quilt! I don't think I've ever seen one like that either - it's beautiful!

Thank you for the Scripture that you shared. It will now be on my mind as I fall asleep :)

What an interesting quilt! I love your tea set. I'm often amazed at which things quickly become "favourite" items.
Hugs to you,

What a delightful quilt for a young reader.
Some finds just tell us to take them home.
I still embroidery pillow cases, and love to knit. Lately I have been rapped up in quilting.
Have a happy Sunday!

My sister would love the quilt. She loved Nancy Drew, that is just the best quilt. Love it!!

My grandma loved to embroider. I am going to try to teach myself this winter.

♥ Thank you for all the positive comments, I appreciate them so much. You are a light!

How sweet of your hubby. It makes it even more special to come from your sweetheart. I love the quilt. I went to the library yesterday and there were a few Nancy Drew books in the for sale books in the lobby...so I bought them. I was so happy to get them. And I've wanted to learn to embroidery again...I love pretty linens that have needlework. Enjoy your week! Hugs!

Hope you had a very blessed day today...It's always good to read your comments, Maggie Ann. LOVE your sweet gift from your hubby. And a BOOK QUILT! How awesome is that! ? Yes, I am very much into embroidery these days so I am thrilled it's coming back into style. Glad you found that snowman pattern. That will be so cute. Take care, and have a great week!

Oh that was a very nice visit! You asked about the jumper and it is not a pattern you can buy. I just took the bodice of a dress I liked and made it into a jumper pattern.
