Blessed Sunday!

It is simply remarkable what God creates for our needs and pleasures.  A carded batt of wool  I spun into yarn and knit (last year) in a simple lace pattern.    I have to stay very focused when I knit anything usually.  So it was serious for me...and simple if I didn't get off track with the pattern.  Isn't much of life like that?  Simple if we stay on track.  If!

I carded three batts yesterday, ready for spinning.  I fell in love with this sheep's wool....lustrous and long locks,  and curly.  Oh so beautiful but hard to work with.  Because I'm so slow at everything much of it in my basket matted up.  Oh boy!  It is going to go into storage and I intend after these are spun up....to spin roving...wool ready to spin without carding.

See  how curly?  I noticed the batt still  has 'crimp' in it also, but it does spin up like a dream.

'Isaiah 1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.'

That's a beautiful scarf. You did a very nice job. For me, getting something blocked is more difficult than getting it knitted !

Enjoy these gifts that God has given !
