Some artwork by grandson.!  That expression on this face expresses how all  (well, some)  of us feel about the convenience of tasty/fatty fast food. I guess that egg is good but oh boy....not the bacon.  Hubby has climbing triglycerides that we are anxious to see come back to a safe zone.   So...no more fast food or those free ice creams at Wendys.  Or greasy....greasy  breakfasts at Dairy Queen.  It is harder than we thought to eat right....but we do enjoy kale smoothies and lots of chicken tenders at home.  I hope we can do it....more salad please!

I so like this little fountain....that makes two summers in a row we were able to purchase a bit of 'fountain' art for our place at a bargain price.

Before this hibiscus boom opened I noticed a Japanese beetle on it and picked it off.  A day later when the bloom opened.....look!!!   The beetle had eaten all the way through the layered bud!  Who ever would have thought this would happen.  Even worse than the Japanese beetles are the Stink bugs that are trying to move in with us. Ugh.

I have been busy knitting happily on my 5th pair of socks and am happy to be using the 'Magic Loop' method on a circular needle this time around.  I have learned so much at our weekly knitting group and am enjoying each new thing I learn.  Never did I think I could learn to knit socks on double pointed needles OR circulars!  Thanks 'D'.   =)

I am reading in the book of Jeremiah just now.  The word of God is ever new and insightful.

'The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? '  (I know this is true)  for all have sinned, I too.

Chapter 17, verses 9 & 14  'Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for  thou art my praise'

Love to get art work from my g-grand son's.
The Bennie has same with his triglycerides, hard to get it down. He loves Dairy Queen (Well Me Too)
You are so smart with your knitting and socks yet. I can only knit one pearl one.
Reading God's word sure helps in this day and time we live in.
Sorry about the old Japanese beetles. not good.
