We stopped at a favorite antique mall this week.  I love to shop here, it is a wonderful place.

I really fell for this old cradle...split runners and missing spokes.  She wanted $85. but...I've no room at home for something this  large. But wouldn't it be adorable filled with folded quilts, or full of needlework with a pretty piece hanging over the side.  I know it will grace someone's home with its charm.  Hubby thought all the 'turnings'  too much, but it was love at first sight with me.

The needlework in this place is exquisite!  I bought a set of pillowcases at Christmas that have the embroidered doll with the crocheted skirt inset. I am going to use them for bed pillows...and they will be wonderful.

I came across this site...where you can create your own crossword puzzles.  If you choose PDF the little numbers in the squares show up as they print out of the printer.  Have you ever tried to do a crossword puzzle and been totally defeated?  Too hard?  Well,  now we can create one bent to our own interests and clues.  I'm liking this.  I made one for our Sunday School class...lol.

Warm wishs for a Blessed Sunday,

'O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.'  Isaiah 25:1

I would love to browse thru the antique store with you. That's very interesting about the crossword puzzles.

p.s. would you consider taking off the word verification. It takes many tries to get it right to leave a comment. THX

I think that crib pattern was Jinny Lynn and I had a white crib for the my kids when they were babies....

I would enjoy that antique mall too! And I think I'll drag out a jigsaw puzzle to do tomorrow. I don't know if we'll go out of the house because of the cold and wind.

Love that background music from The Mission. Was that written for the movie, or is it a piece of classical music? I've always loved it but never looked it up. Guess I will now.

Have a wonderful Lord's Day!

I will certainly understand if you have to put the word verif. back. Most bloggers agree that Blogger has improved its spam filters, so hopefully you will be fine! I wish you a wonderful week.

You're right! That cradle would be the perfect thing for displaying quilts and vintage linens! I used to have our daughter's cradle and it would be great for that, but I think it is still in storage. Unfortunately we had to leave things behind when we moved here, and my hubby is headed back soon to pick up his jeep and trailer, and as much as he can haul back in that limited space. Paying the storage is killing us. I'd love to go back and go through it all and throw at least half of it away, and have a yard sale for some other things!

That looks like such a fun place to browse.
