What a blessing to hear the voice of someone far away....that you love.  God must feel this way when we call/pray to him.   I don't know why I am drawn to vintage.   I think in looking back, there is a security I remember as a very small child when the adults took care of everything.  Yes,  everything.  Our world was filled with childish thoughts and many things seemed actually  wonderful.  Toys,  paper dolls,  laughter, Mom, Dad....  Grandma, candy, books, new dresses and we had no cares...it seems, just lots of imaginations and dreams.   At least before school started.

Then the process of growing up...awkward to say the least.  And then we were young adults,  holding down jobs, graduated from high school,  and in love. How sweet it was....and is!  Thank you Lord....

All Things Bright and Beautiful

~Cecil Frances Alexander

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset, and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.

How lovely it would be to go back to our childhood when times were so simple and sweet! I long for it some times!
