At a neighbor's yard sale I picked up a book called 'Salvage Style for the Garden' by M. Miller.....and got so inspired!  It pictured odds and ends used for 'garden' purposes...and I was on the look out for something use.  Finally....I found an old...vintage old...dresser top.  Speckled, spotty dresser mirror  on an oak frame.  See it here in the picture?  I used the mirror in one of our little garden sitting areas and used the frame part on the porch by stringing wire across and decorating with that.  Love it...

What fun...we made the lattice work accent piece and tucked that mirror behind a gorgeous fuchia geranium.

 Love this...reflective garden addition.

Hubby worked very diligently on this flower bed and I am so so so pleased with it.

The snowball bush is loaded with flowers this year....

I went up to the attic and brought down my Grandmother's kitchen chair.  This chair was always reserved for her....my Mom told me.  It goes perfectly with the small table we got for $5.00 and the quilted runner that was $1.00   How much fun can one girl have??!!

Oh sweet Raggedys'....how we love you.  The one on the right is from the community yard sale and the   doll on the very left was only 25 cents.   I am so thankful to the LORD for every blessing.  No matter how small or how large, I know he sees me and fills my life with good things because He is the wonderful God he is.

Love it. What fun ideas. With our xeriscape efforts, it was so depressing at first, but is looking some better with some of my succulent and drought-resistant plants here and there. But this gives me more ideas of possibility! I have an old rusty wagon as you can see in some of my bird pictures. And I just brought down my old rusty milk separater to set out there, too. NOw I'm thinking of other things as inspired by your finds. Mmm. Fun.

It all looks so great. You enjoy your outside areas like I do !

And yes, I am constantly surprised and thrilled at all the little 'presents' that the LORD throws into my day to make me smile or laugh. He IS so good !

And you, my dear, led me to some very good reading while I was without computer access at home. I took your advice and looked up some Grace Livingston Hill books at our local library, and just fell in love with her style. I thoroughly enjoyed that reading time and always knew that I had you (and that sweet LORD, of course,) to thank !

I love this post. Your grandmother's chair is such a treasure and I love the mirror and table, too. My favorite are the dolls - I have one raggedy doll named Mildred Mae very similar to these! I agree that God often uses the simplest delights to bless our days.

You have inspired me thoroughly! I knew I needed some seating, etc in my back yard, but had not even considered using vintage finds to make it warm and inviting! Now I'm excited to go looking! Loved yours! Really wonderful grouping! And that snowball bush is so gorgeous!

Thank you, Maggie Ann, for checking out my current events blog. I don't get many comments and so far have very few followers, but I am determined to get the information out there for those who would like to know....if you get a chance, check out my previous posts on it too. I don't like scaring anyone, but on the other hand, feel like we all NEED to be scared right now so we can fight this. Thanks again.

Everything looks so lovely in your garden. Mine has a long way to go. Wish I could have been part of the birthday celebration, but just not possible. I will be there later this summer to help out before I put my youngest in college. I think that when you leave a comment you have to enter log in info for a link to your blog. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll check it out further. I think that your earlier comments linked to your blog, but your later ones don't.
