What a precious time of the year, sadness at the remembrance of Christ's cruel suffering and death.. for us...in our place, where only Jesus blood shed on the cross could cleanse us from our sins. And joy, a lifting of the heart... to be set free from the condemnation of sin. Forever for those who repent and turn to Christ. I was reading my Bible and this portion of scripture just blessed my heart.

Matthew 27:50-52. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost...verse 53 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Wow, As soon as our LORD Jesus laid down his life for us, many were set free and came out of the graves. What a picture for the believer....set free from sin! Oh glorious day...at such a horrible cost to our dear Lord. He was willing to suffer the agony of the cross for me. Nothing I could say here would be able to express my thankfulness and love for my God and Savior.

And on to household things, I finally after about 5 years was able to cut two large bunches of 'pussywillows'. I really like those things, don't you? Years ago we bought some cut branchs and I put them in a bucket of water and rooted them. Off we went from there. Its so nice that the 'pussywillows' keep for years if you don't mind a little dust...smile.

I am reading 'Kerry', a Grace Livingston Hill book. I am a long time fan of hers. I love the way she brings out the scripture in her stories. God used her in that way.~~~My wool is all plyed now, and I am casting on stitches with different size needles to see which will give me the gauge I want for a lace pattern. I've high hopes that I will quickly get to knitting the stole. Its been a good week, even with the overcast days, the daffodils are so cheerful...I wish they could stay around all year!

Hello again!
Thank you for stopping by my blog Maggie Ann, I hope you enjoy the Send a Cow site - especially for helping children (either groups or just a grandchild) to understand the plight of families in Africa.
I have found that I can down load some of the titles of Grace books through the Guterman press. So when my son has time to show me what to do I will download one of the stories.
I hope you have a blessed day. I am so glad we have "met"!
Blessings! Val
