I've been keeping myself busy spinning and plying my handspun wool. Its a rewarding experience in so many ways. I have neglected my blog lately due to my desire to see how this wool and alpaca blend would work up. But I'm such a happy camper, I forgive myself...grin.

This is the first 'lace weight' yarn I've ever spun on my Lendrum spinning wheel and I'm loving it!

Hi Maggie Ann, it's me again Val from the High Peak in Derbyshire UK. In my last comment I said I once did have a bash at spinning - yours is how I always wanted mine to be .... unfortunately I could only do lumpy bumpy yarn, which I didn't like at the time, but now realise that it's popular in certain places! I am so glad you dropped in again at my blog and thank you for your encouragement.
But guess what? Oh my goodness! I have just seen that you have placed my little blog on your blogroll - I am so encouraged and excited about that! :o)
TTFN
Blessings! Val

i come from a line of spinners and weavers ... i still have a sweater, the wool used in it was spun by my mother from lamb's wool from finland ... it's over 40 years old and still looks new! and today i was visiting my aunt as she worked on some rugs on her weaving loom ... i love that type of homespun work, it is so comforting ... blessings on you as you enjoy your little corner of the world!

I just can't tell you how impressed I am having watched you start spinning from the little cd and a dowel. I'm still working on the gift you sent me. Your yarn is so beautiful.
