I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee...Psalm 9:verses 1 and 2a

Hurray, we got our Christmas tree up yesterday! The boxes of ornaments are still scattered about...we have a smaller tree to decorate yet for the family room downstairs in our basement. This is the first time my hubby has ever had the time or been home ...to help assemble the tree (yes, its fake...grin) AND decorate it with me. =). Oh sweet retirement, how I love thee.
"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swadding clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." St.Luke 2:7
A good Pastor once said in his sermon that they wrapped the babies in swaddling clothes because they believed if the babies were not tightly wrapped their bones would come out of joint and the body would disintegrate. Interesting!
And yet ...He was very God and 'in him was life; and the life was the light of men' St.John 1:4 Doesn't that truth bless and comfort your heart? It does mine. We have Dish network and they have that one channel that shows images of the earth as picked up by their satellite. Can you even imagine that we are living on a round planet...surrounded by a beautiful atmosphere of the heavens. And that God created it all...wow! What a great fabulous God we have! Well, I must call it a day...one day closer to glory.

It looks like Christmas plans are coming a long for all of blog land.
It is so wonderful to have so many bloggers that love the Lord and share with you.

Hello
We have an artificial tree as well. I might like one that you could pull outta the box and have it pre-decorated. Then at the end, I could put in it a box and store away for another snowy day. *grin*

Yes! When I see the path the world is going, I cringe to think our own society is right behind them. When all fails, causing me to stumble, God' truth is the one constant that eventually settles me.
Wishing you a most blessed Christmas. May His Joy be your joy.
just coming by to give you a (hug) ... hoping that you are enjoying this season, which is the best gift of all!
Just stopping by to say hi. By now your tree must be up and decorated. Are you still teaching Sunday school? I always enjoyed teaching the birth of Christ years ago when I taught. We arctic temps two weeks ago ... then last week snow ... then this week rain ... maybe summer is coming back ;) .. at least the weather is more tolerable.
Amen and amen!
Maggie Ann, I love that vintage pic at the top of your blog!
