Sewing a new valance! The day has been really pleasant...and its a good feeling to have gotten things done. I love the fabric for the valance. Last year an interior decorator helped me with the house...and she had me sew a valance...same type and curtains and a matching tablecloth. It was simple to make and changed the whole tone of the dining room. I'm setting out to do that again....well, just the valance for summer & fall. I hope you have a blessed Lord's Day. He deserves our love and worship!

"I, even I am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour." Isaiah 43:11

Here is my new dining room valance I sewed today. This was supposed to get sewed in the spring but...lol I'm delighted to get it done and up. We are off to the Walmart to get cream sheers for the sides.

I came home from the GoodWill store a week or so ago with this pretty rose print. The frame is oh so lovely too. So off we went to the frame shop to order new mats for it. A soft cream will be the inside mat and a very light pink will be on top of that. Can't wait to see how the finished picture looks!

I was sooo happy to buy this child's drawing table at last week's yard sale for $25.00. It is PERFECT for my wool carder to clamp onto and for putting jigsaw puzzles together on. We are going to have the legs lengthened about 6 inches to bring it up higher.

I love the material. Well done! And speaking of valance, I need to finish putting up my daughter's curtain. Great vintage print as well.

Actually, I like how you can click on a photo and bring it up larger. It leaves more room for writing. So please don't be too concerned about them making the photos smaller. It's working to your advantage. Maybe if you just remind the reader about clicking for a larger view every once in a while in case someone new comes along.

What a find on the table! If I had room, I'd love a work area for sewing and crafts apart from the eating area. What are your plans for raising it up?
