How about an 'Eat Healthy for 30 Days Challenge?' Robynn, of 'Robynns Ravings' is starting this challenge for the month of September. I'm participating for sure and I think my husband will also. Avoiding fast food whenever possible is the goal...and of course to eat healthy, lose weight and enjoy better health. What could be more important for our health? Oh there is an Amazon Gift Card for $100-drawing at the end of the month! How could I have forgotten that? Maybe because I rarely win anything and besides, am so blessed by God already? smile. Want to join us? Scoot over to Robynn's blog and sign in. She has a great post all about the challenge.

I sure need to do this, will think about it. I am on low cholesterol thing, gave up cows milk and went to soy milk. I keep falling off my diet.

I hope YOU win!

I've already begun to eat healthy because I had to. I'm not always consistent but I'm so much better than I ever have been. My blood pressure is down and my diabetes is almost fully under control.

What could be more important for our health?

You're right! Not much is more important but I suppose spiritual health would go unsaid and assumed.

This past year has been a fast food free zone around our kitchen/home. I can count maybe two or three times we've eaten out at a FF place. I am reminded when we do eat out how much salt everything seems to have added .. makes me want to gag. Not much is pre-packaged in our kitchen .. means more work .. baking breads, making our own vanilla coffee creamer, etc. But not to have all of the chemicals and preservatives in our food is a good thing. I hope you win the contest and the $100 gift card.

Every once in a while I spoil healthy eating with chocolate pudding. Like today. *sigh* Although Maxine's post with the salad is inspiring.

I've posted the last of my bluebird baby photos.

Oh, and I ordered that book...A Girl of the Limberlost and just started it.
