This is an interesting item for me to come across while browsing photos for a post. It is one of a set of small and very lovely crocheted doilies my Aunt made us for a wedding gift 42 years ago. Wednesday will be our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. Where have the years gone by so quickly? I know one thing, a good marriage just gets sweeter as the years go by. I am thankful for my sweet husband...he is a gem.

'Sweeter as the years go by' reminds me of the hymn that says that also.
Both my husband and I are thrilled to be saved...trusting in Jesus Christ, now and forever.

Very nice indeed. Both the doily ... AND especially being married for 42 years. I'm sure you make such a lovely couple and complete each other . You have made a house a home ... a rare find these days (sadly). Have a beautiful anniversary. (I paid you a few nice compliments on my 'Whatever Happened To blog :) (Monday 6/29)

Thank you so much for your visit today! Just so you know...I can't imagine a better room than one with books lying all around!! (And, yes, I can imagine what you are doing!) I am familiar with the A-Z Embroidery book....it's a good one! Enjoy....pat

Hi Maggie Ann, I was over at Saija's blog and saw your comment about ants and peonies. Someone told me that the flowers need the ants to open up. Not sure if that's true .. but I bet it is as a special type of ant always appears just before mine open up. The wonder of it all :)
