We made a trip to the Homer Laughlin Factory outlet...a long trip but fun once we got there. Our daughter bought me a square baking pan for Mother's Day...my choice of color. Oh the beautiful colors...this picture was taken in the second's room. No bakeware in there! Wish I had taken my cell-phone picture of the bake ware display but I was so absorbed in admiring the various beautiful colors that I forgot the camera totally! First I chose an apple green, then switched my choice to sunshine yellow. Hubby got enthused and bought me a red 9x13 baker plus the new chocolate color ...place setting. Sorry to sound so totally spoiled! grin.

Then since we were close...on to the Flea Market. You can see how busy it was and oh the heat! Need I say more. My trusty cell phone camera saved these images for rememberance. We enjoyed seeing the variety of birds and livestock waiting to be auctioned off. I'd never been that close to a turkey before and you know...it wasn't horribly ugly after all. I rather liked it. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you'd like.

And on the home front...I've been having a really good time reading a new author, Alexander McCall Smith. The name of one of his books is 'The Full Cupboard of Life'. This man was born in Zimbabwe and now lives in Scotland and is a professor of med. law at a University there. He writes detective stories that are very good. The background is set in Africa, which he must love very much.... and the mood is serene and thoughtful...at all times. Thanks Marie! (I saw these books on her Shelfari and thought I'd try one) (Of course...no blanket endorsement for them)...but I've found the two I've read....oh so good, I'm planning on reading another soon. I must get on with my day...this is like the good old summers we used to know. Lemonade and good books...and lazy days! Well, for a bit anyway.

"I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me." Psalm 39:1

I am SO PLEASED you like the Alexander McCall Smith "#1 Ladies Detective Agency" books. He has some other books that I have not liked nearly as much. But the Ladies Detective Agency are wonderfully precious to me.

How is the spinning going? Are you making anything yet. You didn't say where the Homer Laughlin Factory was. I would like to go there some day.
