Last night I stayed up late cleaning out my email boxes. And as I browsed around a little I found that You tube dot com has Anne of Green Gables video clips....oh so many, and also many 'Avonlea' clips. If you are a fan of those you just might be as excited as I was to discover this. Imagine watching a 4 minute clip or longer of the delightful Anne, or Avonlea...a little break while online. Sound pleasant? It does to me....lol.

"whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you." Phillipians 4:8b,and verse 9.

"There is a message written in the word of God for me, my Father put it there, to ease my load of care, I read, let not your heart be troubled, I will come again, and with me you will be, for all eternity!"....a hymn I have always loved. There certainly is a message for me in this passage of scripture and song. I see where I've been watching too much tv and I see my heavenly Father turning me toward the Anne and Avonlea series which I have long enjoyed... and Grace L. Hill and other Christian authors to relax with. Just maybe, huh?!!! I love to be loved and guided by Him...my Saviour and my Friend, my God.

Hello Dear Maggie Anne!
Went over your blog this evening--Such warm, thoughtful, things-steaming bread, tea, rooting your Africa Violets, and sewing your own skirts!(I wish I could sew--I can never find the kind of skirt I really like--they are always too flashy or fitted, or weird!)
I love how you mention books to read, Mark Twain, and most importantly, your thoughts on God's Word!
One night, while my guys were watching football-- I took my laptop, got myself comfortable on the couch and sobbed away the evening as I watched the whole Avonlea series on the budding friendship and later romance between Gus Pike and Felicity, on YouTube. So sweet!
I really like how you have your Testimony at the end of your page and so love Charles Spurgeon!
I'll be praying that your sprain heals quickly so that you can be up and about, doing those things you love. Hope you feel better soon!
With Love Always in our Lord Jesus!

I have Anne in my Netflex Q. I'll have to move it up on the list. I haven't seen them in awhile. Do you watch the Duggars on TV? They have the 18 kids. Lori loves it and is learning much from how they show their love for the Lord. She's writing a paper for school about being a Christian. I'm amazed. We are all feeling much better. I still have a cough hanging on. Blessings for a wonderful week and I hope you ankle is better.

The computer definitely has its perks with finding favorite clips and old songs long forgotten. But just as TV distracts us so does the internet. A song comes to me as I write this comment...'Turn your eyes upon Jesus..."

i can just hear your excitement re the youtube discovery ... :o)

i love to read Christian authors too ... they can be so uplifting ...

working at the library we meet all kinds of folks, this one lady returned a book unread because she said every second page was talking about God and she wanted a good story - not preaching ... she said she didn't know why she was always picking up these authors ... i smiled at her and said "maybe Someone is sending you a message?" ...

((hugs)) and blessings on ya!
