Plastics, good or bad?

This is a good video clip to watch..about the dangerous contents of some plastics. I always wondered why a new shower curtain smelled so horrid. We take so much for granted and I never thought before that bringing home 'certain' plastics is not a good idea. At all. I'm learning. Any thoughts on this? Farmhouse Blessings said...: Thank you so much, Maggie! I am going to have my boys watch this too. I knew some of the plastic things had a strong odor and we removed them from the house because I just knew that couldn't be a good thing, but I had no idea how to identify them. I will certainly be checking my bottles and plastic before I purchase them in the future.

Mrs. Mac said...: This is good info. I know you're not supposed to heat up foods in plastic containers in the microwave oven. I'll have to start checking for number 3 on my plastic stuff. I think this mentioned soft plastic pvc ... makes a person wonder about how pvc water pipes could harm a person too.; 10:48 AM

Farmhouse Blessings said...: Maggie, our family just went through our home today and gathered up all PVC bottles and materials. I was really shocked at how much was here.

I am so disheartened, however, to learn that the PVC pipes in our home are contributors as well. We are just going to keep trying to rid outselves of as much as possible.

My Testimony

I was saved when I was 32 years old. We had evangelistic meetings the week of Mother's Day. When asked by the evangelist if I died tonight would I be sure I would go to heaven. I answered...'I hope so'. He answered, 'young lady, heaven is a 'know so' place'. He asked me to sit up front the next day in church, and the message was 'Hell will be filled with 'good' people'. The first one third of the message I sat in the pew and reviewed to God and myself what a 'good' person I really was. Not! The Holy Spirit of God brought conviction to my heart so vividly, that I clearly remember not needing to hear any more of the sermon. God's word had reached ME! I was a sinner on my way to Hell. I couldn't wait to go forward and pray, accepting Christ as my Saviour. I believed on him that day and received Him personally by repentance and prayer, confessing my need of salvation. Hell will be filled with good people all right, BUT good only in their own eyes. God alone is sinless and 'good'.

"ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is mad unto salvation.

Romans 10: 9 & 10 Verse 13 says this, 'for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.' John 1:12 & 13 says, 'But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.'
