The challenge for 'Wednesday Stamper' this week was to use a 'square' or squares in your art. This was such fun. For my large square I used styrofoam packing material. You can see it here behind the bird...a brown sponged 'look'. I also used a background stamp that is all squares. Coloring was a mix of oil pastels, chalks, Tim Holtz distress inks over scrapbook paper and scraps left from other trash to treasure projects.

Maggie Ann this is gorgeous. I love the way you made the background - it's vibrant but delicate and the the card turned out great! I love finding new ways to make backgrounds and am indeed enjoying the pastels adventure!
I love your netting background too - now I'll have to save at least one of those too!! Neat tip - TFS!
