Our computer is in the shop for diagnosis. It freezes up alot and I think they are going to wipe it clean. If nothing else is found. So....I have Mom's old pc and have helped myself to a sample flower pic. So I won't be posting much till it comes home. Don't you know, I miss it! The day has passed quickly here. After practising my cello and doing a bit of laundry, and making a cheesecake with cottage cheese and packets of Knox gelatin..which turned out great. I'm reading a bio of Lucille Ball and boy is it interesting! She at one point was so poor while aspiring to be an actress...which at that time she wasn't qualified..but hung in there anyway, for chorus lines or whatever. Anyhow, at one point in her life...1927 I believe, you could get a cup of coffee and 2 donuts for 10 cents. She would hang around the place until a customer got up and left and she would just as quickly sit down in their place and eat any left over donut and use the tip to order coffee. She did not have a nice childhood either, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to reading more. Oh those Good Will bargain books....who can resist them? =) Not me!

Maggie Ann, I read this book too and throughly enjoyed it!! She did have a very rough young life. I thought it was a good book. Sandy

Hey M!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've made a lot of mistakes on my quilt, but I have learned a lot. Hopefully the next one will go smoother. We are HUGE Lucy fans around here. I always try to read all I can about the four of them from the show. Very interesting that the four of them weren't that close in real life. I guess Vivian Vance despised William Frawley. So sad, they were so fun to watch on the screen. Enjoy the rest of your book!

Hi Maggie Ann, Thanks for stopping by my 'place' ;) I was too tired last night to go to my card making class (a twenty minute drive) ... but when my neighbor asked me to fill in for a bunko spot ... I jumped at the chance ;) (it was in my neighborhood) Hopefully your pc will be back from the shop soon. Funny how they are missed when being fixed, eh? We have a nice weekend (weather wise) in store (yippie!!!!!) This morning I fixed a small bon fire in my new patio fire ring in the backyard ... it was nice having my morning coffee outdoors listening to the birds and watching the snow melt. Soon the yard will be green again. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs
