An ATC card I made and swapped with Ann. Hope you don't mind my using it tonight Ann! I can't believe I haven't posted since Tuesday...my lands, time flies. I have the back of my sweater finished and am ready to start on the front. My daughter found me the Paton's Katrina I was running out of...in Canada, but it is ordered now...hurray! I loved getting to the knit shop this week..twice. I bought some yarn that is a dreamy lavender color....for socks. Picture coming along later. My sister-in-law is in the hospital....not doing well but we are hoping she will do much better-soon. Its been a good week for me. I've gotten some house-cleaning done...and things picked up and prettied. What a good feeling when things are in order and not messy. I didn't get to spin today though, and I was hoping too. I hope you have a restful Sunday. My dress is ironed for church tomorrow and I'm off to bed soon. Blessings to you....=)

Bless our Home...

God bless our home, and help us to love each other true; To make our home the kind of place where everything we do....Is filled with love and kindness, A dwelling place for Thee,....And help us, God, each moment....To live most helpfully. Anon.

That is a beautiful card.
I started knitting some dish rags the other day. I'm running out of them.

Of course I don't mind you using the ATC. That one is my favorite. It is so pretty and the message is so true! I'm glad you found your yarn. Prayers for your sister-in-law. Thanks for all the helpful tips on stamping and such. I was in an AC Moore last week but I'm so drawn to the paper I didn't look much at the stamps. Maybe next time. I've been meaning to tell you too that I did make the header for my art blog. It is just squares cut from paper and letters from magazines. I scanned it in the computer and then used it for the header. I'm hoping to make something new for fall. And the little square you sent did arrive safely and didn't melt over everything! LOL! I did loose it for a few days. It fell out of the envelope and I lost it on the floor in bedroom. I found it through! Blessings to you and yours. I'm off to finish getting myself ready for church and get eveone else moving.

You commented in my blog... "...wishing I could eat cobblers and goodies without gaining weight!"

Oh my Dear Girl, I can't either. I have *oodles* of recipes. But don't use them very frequently.

I love it that other ladies post so much about recipes and actually show pics of what they make. Once in a while, I do too. But I don't do hardly as much baking, as I'd love to eat. ,-)

I wish your sister in law well.

And me too, on another point... I too love to keep things picked up and everything in its place, so to speak. I can't relax, when *stuff* is all over. Eeeek! :-)

Do you have a good source for some simple knitting directions for a project other than a scarf?

My daughter has knitted her share of scarves and could probably make a hat, or a sweater, or such if it was a simple pattern. I can read the patters, so that's no problem.

We went to Beverly's yesterday to look for one and all they had was big expensive books and magazines! $25 and up!

Back again! :-)))

You commented in an entry, about one of the "Summer Cottage" in my city...

Oh my yes, I'm sure all is "well done" in that one! ,-) That is one of the ones, which is inhabited only during Racing Season. A very old racing family owns it and has, for generations. The rest of the year, they are at their other homes. And this one is closed up and looked after by a caretaker.

Yup!!! A totally different life style!!! But living here, we get used to it. It's just the way things are, in a lot of big local houses. For we *common folk,* it's nice when the Season comes and the houses are all prettied up with flowers and etc. And open and you can catch glimpses of people on the porches and inside the well lit rooms, in the evenings. Like watching a movie! :-))))

By picturing these places, in my Photo Blog, I'm not endorsing the life style. I'm just so happy that someone had kept this beautiful old architecture, from falling into ruin.

Maggie Ann,

Perfect link, thanks. My Nanny Bird has ordered her yarn etc., and plans to make her first sweater (with my "expert" help. . .) - we hereby dedicate the sweater to the Knitting Kat!
