There is something very satisfying about taking bits of paper laying around that are nothing by themselves, and putting them into a collage to enjoy. This was my morning fun. The day has flown away as swiftly as a bird on the wing. I thought I would get a lot more done than I did. However, I exercised on the treadmill for almost an hour, while I watched 'I Love Lucy'. And, I watered the container plants and rose bush's. I read that it is impossible to over water a rose bush unless it is in a poor drainage situation. Also I knitted for an hour....and most important of all, had time with the Lord. My life is flying by, but when my time comes to die to this world, I will be ready....I am born again.
My husband & I ended the day watching a Hallmark movie together. Its still running so I put a tape in. We will finish it tomorrow together. Picture us with an English chintz teapot full of Hazelnut decaf...and two sunny yellow cups & saucers filled up twice at least, teapot and cups on the coffetable with a sunflower scent candle in a tin....casting its lovely candlelight over our coffees'. Its like a collage isn't it. Bits of this and that....put together and enjoyed, even being a memory preserved and loved. God is so good to give us so many wonderful things to enjoy. But then he is God...'he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.' I Corinthians 1:31b.

Thank you for the suggestion of Arbuckle's decaffeinated hazelnut creme (perk) coffee! I'll be sure to look for it, in the grocery store.

Hugs,

I agree! A lovely post! I love how you discribed your day with your husband as a collage. So very true.

There's such a good feeling about using our time wisely and constructively.

you shared,
My life is flying by, but when my time comes to die to this world, I will be ready....I am born again.

Amen. There is a peace knowing we are sealed by the Spirit for that day of redemption. Nothing can change that, bless God! (I hope they have cross stitch in heaven- hee hee)

We continue to water our flowers as well. After last years trip to Texas, we returned home to find ALL our flowers dead. The unexpected heat wiped them out. Please post a photo of your orchid blooms when you get a chance.

Bits and pieces of scraps pasted together to make something beautiful. Aaah ... sounds like the Body of Christ :) Without Him, we are just little scraps ... but with Him, we are knit together for His glory.
