This old fashioned card is a bit of pleasure from the past...its got me smiling! My hands are doing better than they were, still having to take ibuprofen but not so often. Its poured cats and dogs here today, but its been cozy to stay in. I got a LOT of ironing done and even a quick nap to recoup. Tonight is prayer meeting with chimes practise afterwards. I've got a pan of chicken on to simmer and will give it a quick browning in the skillet with a dab of butter and seasoning just the way hubby likes with a Parmesan cheese sauce over rice. There! that should take care of my good man's supper. And plenty left over for lunch sandwiches and tomorrow's supper meal. I'm going to walk the treadmill for at least 30 minutes right now, just thought I'd do a quick update on the blog....in case I get any company you know. Hope this little card says, I'm glad you came by for a visit!

When asked, "Why do you believe you believe in miracles?" Henry Drummond replied; "Because I see them every day in the changed lives of men and women who are saved and lifted through faith in the power of the living Christ." "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17. This is one of the first Bible verses that made a difference in my life. And, as time went by I became under conviction that 'Romans 3:4..."God forbid; yea, let God be true, but every man a liar..." was indeed true and one glorious day I walked a church aisle and bowed my heart before God in repentance and prayed for salvation. I realized I was a sinner alright, but from that day on, a sinner saved by God's grace and loved by Him with an everlasting love and a home in heaven, reserved for me. The latch string is still out for others who are coming...oh happy truth! Hasten to him...make no delay. Illness or death has suddenly cut off millions who thought they had all the time in the world to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour. I never get tired telling 'the old old story, of Jesus and his love'. Its that important!

Hi Maggie, I just love all these old cards and photos you are putting on your gorgeous blog! Out of all the blogs I visit, yours is one of my favorites because it is pretty without being too 'busy'.
I read back through your posts but couldn't find where you said what happened to your hands (this will teach me to abandon you for so long, lol!). I also have arthritis in my hands (and elsewhere), and I find massaging them with the appropriate essential oils is the best treatment. If you know about oils, you will probably know which ones are beneficial. Rosemary is the main one, but others can be used with it. Email me if you need to know more.
