Just picked a random vintage card to post, as I longed for something pretty and as I browsed my vintage clip art folder this caught my eye. These primroses are just right for spring and I just know its someone's birthday out there in cyberland! So Happy Birthday to you whoever you are, you are special to God and he longs to save you!
"I Have Found Such Joy"
I have found such joy in simple things;
A plain clean room, a nut-brown loaf of bread,
A cup of milk, a kettle as it sings,
The shelter of a roof above my head,
And in a leaf laced square along the floor,
Where yellow sunlight glimmers through a door.
I have found such joy in things that fill
My quiet days; a curtain's blowing grace,
A potted plant upon my window sill,
A rose, fresh-cut and placed within a vase;
A table cleared, a lamp beside a chair,
And books I long have loved beside me there.
Oh, I have found such joys I wish I might
Tell every woman who goes seeking far
For some elusive, feverish delight,
That very close to home the great joys are;
The elemental things-old as the race,
Yet never, through the ages, commonplace.

That is so very true. The flowers were beautiful also. connie from Texas
Very pretty! Yes, tomorrow is my mom's birthday!!
Love the pic and the poem, Once again your blog has given rest to my weary soul.
My birthday is not until October, but I'll take the flowers anyway!
If it's not too hard to describe, how do you get your letters in color on your blog? I used to be able to do that, and I miss it. The palette I used to click on has just disappeared.
your love for those who don't know Jesus, always comes through ...
Oh how I love that picture........and it is not my birthday but I sure can enjoy the beauty in this card. Have a wonderful week my friend.
