An old advertisement from 1906. Thats a lot of pages of instructions for a quarter...but back then...how long did it take to earn a quarter and how much did a man earn in an hour? I came up with this interesting article after doing a Google search. These are highlights of 1906. Imagine a stamp being only 2 cents!!http://local.aaca.org/junior/mileposts/1906.htm

"If we would build on a sure foundation in friendship, we must love our friends for their own sakes rather than our own." Charlotte Bronte

"It is but right that our hearts should be on God, when the heart of God is so much on us." Richard Baxter

How fun! Isn't it neat to look at vintage ads and such? It's interesting to ponder how different things were back then and yet how some things remain the same.

That is very neat. I am glad I learned to knit from someone else. I am such a hands on person. I made your Baby Ruth bars yesterday. They were fabulous. Now I need to go on a diet! Ha Ha
