Happy Sunday wishs to you. We are looking forward to a restful day tomorrow, inspite of the bitter temperatures. It will make us all the more thankful for our woodburner and the cozy heat it provides us. We will be off to church in the morning and then home to a ....hmmm, probably a stuffed chicken in the oven. Oh that wonderful smell that will fill the house. Life is filled with so many things to enjoy, I'm grateful to the giver of life for it all. Praying tonight for those in Florida whose lives have been turned upside down. I cannot imagine but hope they get mega help and support. Come Monday, I think I'm going to start posting a little fiction story I found in one of my Ladies' Home Journals..from 1906. Its called...'Winter Love' and I think I will print just a paragraph or two daily. If you come visiting and its not your cup of tea...just ignore it. I'll still post as I always do also. Wishing you blessings!
"See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgements, that thou mayest ...." Oh Maggie, our tv news only had a few seconds on the Florida cyclone, but what I saw shocked me terribly. Reminded me of Cyclone Tracey in Darwin, many years ago. Just about wiped out the whole town, on Christmas Day of all days.
Add my prayers to yours for everyone who is suffering in Florida.
Happy Sunday.
I am just home from visiting an exhibition at one of the down town museums. Will now cook and read :-)
I was saddened when I watched the devastation in Florida on Friday. I lived very close to Oak Hill Road when my kids were little for about three years. My kids went to Oak Hill school. Praying for those folks as their lives are now turned upside down.
I love the old stories in the LHJ. Once I started reading a series and then realized I was missing the last segment. No way I could get it unless I went to an antique show or shop, I was a bit aggravated to say the least! Looking forward to your post!
That is awful about what happened in Florida (it's awful when it happens anywhere though). Hope you had a blessed day!
