Here is the book cover for 'Fair Noreen' . Isn't the artwork with the cupids ornate! Its either going to be a good read or boring. It was published by 'Blackie and Son Limited' London Glasgow and Bombay. Can't see any copyright date which is unusual. Last night I finished the Weekly Reader little novel after church and it was pretty good. Historical..about a spy that worked for George Washington and had 2 identities, and of course...had hidden treasure in the old family home which the kids searched for and finally found after removing scads of bricks from all the fireplaces. The treasure box was in an attic chimney opening where they used to hang thier meat to 'smoke' using the smoke from the downstairs fireplaces.~~I've had a profitable day, I painted the outside trim on 4 basement windows that really needed painting badly. Tomorrow I plan to pull up the dead garden and also my 3 flower beds around the house. I also carried the new dining room chairs outside and Scotch guarded them today. They have upholstered seats and backs. I'll post a picture of them this week sometime. Hubby found the battery charger for me. Well, I'm dog-tired tonight and think I'll get ready for bed. I'm reading 'Showers in Season' by Beverly LaHaye & Terri Blackstock. Anyone read this? I'm sure I'll get another chapter or two read tonight. The author switchs back and forth between chapters and characters. I don't know why, but I don't like that. I want to stay with one main character through out the story. Marlene, if you are reading this...I will get back to my spinning, really..=). Every single day I think of it wistfully. We are winterizing our home...and then there are STILL bags of apples on the back porch waiting for me to peel and cook them up into good things.~~~~~"And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." Isaiah 58:11 Oh how sweet is life, now that I am His and He is mine! Posted by Picasa

I havent read a book that isnt school related in ages.

And you still have apples to do? I'm quite relieved mine are all done. Some years doesnt it seem like the apples go on forever?

I hope the book is good reading but I would love to have the book just to sit on a table. Looks so vintage and would look so good as part of decorating.

I still have apples to do something with as well.

What a pretty book cover! I have 2 boys with red hair so we love any character with red hair! :)

What is the name of the book about George Washington? Sounds like a story my kids would love!

Have a wonderful day!
