I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee...Psalm 9:verses 1 and 2a

Day 12 of my journal. I'm behind posting these but we've been busy around here. Shopping and cleaning. A little bit of reading and embroidering on my redwork early today before the light of day. Once I was reading a Eugenia Price novel and sat up untill dawn enthralled with the story. I remember looking out the kitchen window from where I sat on the pew behind the table. The night sky was giving way to darkest blues, and the trees were silhouetted like deep black poetry against it. That night, a single book was my world, but what a world....colored with people I could almost reach out and touch, and who...by the authors pen had touched me and drawn me into thier lives!
"Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart". Psalm 97:11 How good to know that God has given us the light of his Word....to open our eyes and hearts. To prepare us for repentence and faith. What a loving God we have. I'm so glad that in every heartache....there is a balm in Gilead. I am a needy soul and often fear for nothing when all the while, if I had trusted as I should...this truth would have been my pillow. "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters." Psalm 23 1&2. And this, "....peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace." Alice Gray.
And my little quote from Rebecca McCann's book..."Two questions ask yourself,
When worries cloud your brow;
Is it something I can help,
And can I help it now?".............wishing you each a restful and joyous Lord's day!

Thanks for stopping by lately. I need to re-read all of Eugenia Price's books. I read them all years ago. I hope to visit St. Simon's Island one of these days. One of the main things I remember about the earlier series was the redeeming God we serve - who can take really bad stuff and use it for His good. Have a great week-end!
Your diary looks beautiful.
Have to give you a single hello at least before I run off...Will write when I get back... Love Terry
You, too have a blessed Lord's Day!!!
I think your post today is lovely. Every word was poetic and spiritual. The journal pic was beautiful. Thanks for spreading God's Sonshine in each post.
I really like your comment: "That night, a single book was my world, but what a world".....
I could relate to getting lost in the pages, stepping into them and walking through the journey of words....
A lovely thought; thank you for sharing!
