Day 11 of my 21 (or more) day journal. Well here is another day of life to fill with work and pleasure. Running through my day will be, I hope, moments of clear thoughts that will be like drinking from still waters and in those moments I will be meditating on who God is and how he loves and cares for me...moment by moment. "The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear (reverence kind of fear) him, in those that hope in his mercy." Psalm 147:11

Just back from weeding the flower bed while I talked on the cellphone thanks to the phone headset. Whew! I'm tired and its still hot outside. But now I have another 'job' checked off the list and I can't say that isn't a nice feeling =). I really enjoyed the 'volunteer' morning glorys in the flower bed. When 'who-ever' named them 'Heavenly Blue' they hit it right on the button. They are soooo beautiful!

Something else that I love to see..and this little poem expresses it so well, by Rebecca McCann;

"The sun shines through the curtains,
Diffused, serenely bright,
And common things wear halos,
Carressed with lovely light."

Hope your day has lots of sunbeams...the Pollyanna kind =) !!

Beautiful visual poem ... transported me back to my grandmother's house with her lovely white sheers hanging from her sparkly windows! And Polyanna sunbeams ... one of my favorite phrases and ideals.

Another beautiful page in your journal. It reminds me that our Father gives us a new page everyday. We serve a great God. And wouldn't it be wonderful if we as Christians would allow the ones we know a new page everyday. There would be a lot more frgiveness and less bitterness if we could just do that.
I hope you don't mind, I'm getting lots of ideas from your decorated journal pages. :-)

qcbDoes talking on the phone make weeding less of a painful task? I'll bet it does! Beautiful post.

I'm loving these sweet little poems. More, more...please.

"The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear (reverence kind of fear) him, in those that hope in his mercy."

...those that hope in His mercy.

This greatly speaks to me.

I love Pollyanna, too. So, I'm glad about the sunbeams making halos through my curtains. And I'm glad you create such charming pictures. And I'm glad you share sweet poems and scriptures.

Guess what Maggie Ann?..Sabine found two of the dvds of Janette Okes in Walmart so you better see if that rice boy can pick them up for you..

Also I gave you the wrong title to the Avonlea books. They are "Chronicles of Avonlea" I thought about that in the dead of the night last night and I had no computer to tell you!!

Did you say you were having chili today.. Yummy!! It is sooo gooood!!

You write just like Lucy Maude Montgomery.

You know I think that in the latter part of her life that she was saved.
One of the stories that she writes in the Avonlea books, I am not sure if it is in the first one or the second one["Further Chronicles of Avonlea], the one story is "Each in His Own Tongue"..It is well worth reading. I can see in this story that she truly understood the forgiveness that the Lord can give to sinners who will repent of their sins and turn to Him for mercy.

I am so happy that because of Saija, I found your site and Sabines' and because of David Fisher, I found Saija and her good group of sweet Christian friends!!...Love Terry
