Would you believe this is a miniature rose houseplant? The bloom is quite large and I decided to bring one home from the grocery store to live with me. If only they could make it have that sweet old-fashioned rose fragrance to bury my nose in....= ). Oh well, if it doesn't turn into an aphid factory, I must be thankful. This day is half over, I 've had a great partial cello practise...need a break, so I'll get some ironing done I think. I actually! walked on my treadmill for 45 minutes yesterday and hope to repeat that. If you are reading this, hope you have a great day...

I love roses but just what happened to the smell they used to have? Hmmm!! Someone stole it!!??? You always have the prettiest pictures and like Saija says I also feel refreshed. You know besides Lazy Daisy you were one of the first people that I started visiting when I first started blogging. So I always feel comfortable here. Take care and have a good night friend.

I could almost hear the cello playing while reading your post. Old time roses are the best for scent ... or even the wild variety. When man engineers and adapts Gods creation, something is lost most often; same with food.

I have started ironing more often these days just for the smell, if you know what I mean. It brings back sweet memories.
We planted three roses bushes for the first time ever. We got attacked by Japanese Beeltes, but have managed to beat them. The one that smells the most is the Chrysler Imperial.
I will try to get a photo tomorrow. This heat has taken a toll on some of the blossoms though.

The rose is beautiful and i love the background you have for it. I agree with Mrs. Mac, when men messes around with things they are just not the same. Have you ever noticed that when men try to put some colors together, the colors clash. When God uses the same colors, the colors blend.
