Highlights of my day yesterday. Oh, what a delightful book Carolyn Westbrook has put together! I talked more about it in the previous post. Hoping everyone has a pleasant Sunday, tranquil and blessed of the LORD.

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place." II Corinthians 2:14

The book looks like a fun, relaxing one! I enjoy those types of books as well.

Thanks for stopping by "My Quiet Corner" and leaving a comment. Please feel welcome back anytime.

Hello Maggie, it looks like a wonderful book, one you will certainly treasure for a long time! I have that kind of books by my bedside, that I love to leaf through while drifting to sleep... Beautiful Japanese sewing books...

I hope you are having a more serene and happy day today :)

It's nice to "bounce" inspiration off of each other! I liked your flicker photo album ... so I added one to my site. Maybe I should check out some home decorating books from the library for some inspiration. I like home interior magazines ... but there are too many ads. Have a blessed weekend!

Thank you for visiting my site. Yes, indeed, I have so many "friends" from books. I always wish there would be at least one more coming. That's why I love series. I never read Trixie Belden, but maybe I should now!

Come by any time.

I forgot to comment about Beany - how could I forget such a good friend?? I went to Denver to a Beany Malone week-end where women came from all over the country. Since Beany's books took place in Denver, we toured all of the real places that were in her books with other names, of course. It was so much fun. But some of these women are crazy!! They go every year! I'm sure they're all blogging now, because back then they had a book discussion on line. They got so serious about stuff that I didn't fit in very well - I'll tell you more about that if you want to know. But you're right, it's hard to find them. I used to be able to get the whole series by getting the ones at my library and ordering others remotely. Then I'd read the whole shebang in a few days. What fun. I tried to find Lenora Mattingly Weber when I realized she was from Denver, but she had died about two years earlier. I did meet her granddaughter, who was the model for Beany, and we had dinner at the house where Lenora used to live.

Books are the most wonderful invention. I love books that you can look at time and again and that looks like just that kind of book. The more often you look at a book the cheaper it gets, because if you buy 1 book for $10.00 and read it only once, you have to pay $10,00 for the next book. But, if you look at it more than once it gets cheaper all the time 1 time $10.00 Twice $5.00 3 times $3.33 and if you look at it 5 times it is only $2.00 per time and that's a pretty good price for any good book. :-)

How delightful to find your blog with this book on it, the very same day I had placed a bid for this book on eBay.... I've had my eye on it for some time, even though I've never seen the interior..... it just looks like something I would love.....
