Reflections from Mother's Day. I hope everyone had as special a day as I did. My husband and son and I went to the Conservatory and enjoyed our visit even though they didn't really have as many flowers as we would have thought. In the gift shop I bought a cd of string quartet music and on the way home we ate supper at Panara Bread. Then off to evening worship service and home again to get rested. Tonight was cello lesson night and my teacher is just back from a wonderful vacation and brought us a bar of Belgian chocolate....what a treat! I read a Beverly Lewis book today, in fact I just finished it up (I've been speed reading all day) ...it was 'The Preacher's Daughter'. Its about an Amish girl who was an artist and kept it secret from her Father....the ending indicates a sequel should be in the making. I am so tired but found myself at the computer to scan a recipe and thought I'd do a quick post. "A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be." Douglas Pagels. =)

"Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." Psalms 2:11 I am thankful to be a Christian.

Those Beverly Lewis books are good..and have you sitting on the edge for the next one. I like all the Amish information woven throughout them..as we live in an Amish area.
Glad you had a nice Mother's day..
My grandsons liked the photo you posted.

There just isn't enough hours in the day when you want to read, is there? When I was a young teen, my parents often found me reading somewhere. They never had to pressure me toward books.

"I am thankful to be a Christian."

Amen. I do NOT want to think of where I would be if the Lord hadn't brought His grace to my door.

""Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." Psalms 2:11"

Creeping in is a lack of deep reverence for God and only because many may not be taught the totality of God's message. The 'feel good' gospel is replacing the 'repent, for the fear of the Lord is the begining of wisdom' message. Anything that seems condemning is avoided. We are truly within the last days.

Philippians 2:12 (King James Version)
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
