Hi Maggie. I'm really pleased that you posted this recipe. I shall copy it out right now and will have fun making 'snickerdoodle cookies', what a great name. Marion

Oh Maggie, the recipe is great. I gave it to our englisch teacher. She said: What is cream of tatar? Tatar is beef and what is with beef in a cake? I look in a dictionary from a University in München and found it. It is baking powder!

i have fallen off the walking/running wagon for 2 weeks due to sickness here... SO these cookies would NOT be a good idea to have in the house for i know I would EAT ALL OF THEM!!!! i try only to allow extra treats when I am exercising (i said, "I TRY") (smile)

I make those cookies alot and my kids love them although cream of tartar is not the same as baking powder, here in nz they are two completely different ingredients.
