I decided to share my shopping trophies once in a while in my blogging world....smile. This little beauty particularly delights me for 3 reasons. First off, its very feminine. That reason, by itself is enough for me. Secondly, it has a vintage postcard paper with that loveliest of all flowers, the rose. And the last reason is that on the bottom of the paper mache favor is stamped the word 'France'. Once in a while I buy something that was made in Italy, but this is the first time I can remember seeing 'France'. That's special! The handle is made of a flocked wire...and I bought it in a resale shop for the wonderful price of 50 cents. It has a tulle bag inside that was probably filled with candy or poupourri. Don't you love to go shopping and come home with something special? I do. Life is filled with blessings that sometimes come just at the right moment. I remember once I caught my finger in the dryer door as I slammed it shut....oh painful. But, that night at church on the shelf in the foyer, was a package for me from my secret sister. Who but God, my heavenly Father, knew that I would hurt my finger and needed a cheer-up gift? Perfect timing....perfect love. John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Wow, a wonderful treasure. Love your lamp too.

Sorry you hurt your finger. *frown* But glad you received a thoughtful gift.

John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."

whosoever believeth in him

Belief in God is fully trusting Him at His Word with our whole hearts for our whole lives.

I was just reading THIS last night, Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

and a verse that came to mind as I read it was, 'for without Faith it is impossible to please God"
