A friend of my son is a pilot and I believe he took this picture while up in the air. I am using my son's computer tonight and so am borrowing from his picture folder. Our pc has been sent away for being naughty...no, seriously it has been sent away to be repaired. I guess that means no virus but they didn't know the other night what the problem was at the repair shop. They were able to back up all of our pictures and documents, I'm glad of that as you might imagine...smile. I've been having such nice times since I last posted. A shopping trip with my friend that lasted all day and was so much fun, was one special day. I've been cross-stitching and have my sampler very close to being done. Today was very tranquil....I sat in our sunshine lit bedroom and wrote in my journal for quite a long time and enjoyed the solitude. As I was about to make the bed, my eye went to a small vintage Methodist hymnal which a friend gave me a long time ago. It is the most wonderful little book. No lines of written music, but the words of all the verses of the hymns are therein. It is very small, about 5 inchs by 4 inchs. A very nice size to tuck in a pocket. I thought I'd post one of the hymns that blessed my heart so very much this morning. I'll do that last. First I want to say that I wish I could give you the smiles I enjoyed while reading your thoughtful comments. Comments are like sunshine aren't they....they are great spirit lifters!
O For a faith that will not shrink, though pressed by every foe,
That will not tremble on the brink of any earthly woe!
That will not murmur or complain beneath the chastening rod,
But, in the hour of grief or pain, Will lean upon its God;
A faith that shines more bright and clear when tempests rage without;
That when in danger knows no fear, In darkness feels no doubt;
That bears, unmoved, the world's dread frown, Nor heeds its scornful smile;
That seas of trouble cannot drown, Nor Satan's arts beguile;
A faith that keeps the narrow way Till life's last hour is fled,
And with a pure and heavenly ray illumines a dying bed.
LORD, give us a faith like this, And then, what 'er may come,
We'll taste, e'en here, the hallowed bliss of an eternal home.
William Rathurst.
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son
to be the propitiation for our sins". I John 4:10 Hoping this precious old hymn and
eternal word of God is the blessing to your heart that it is to mine.

I used to think I didn't care much for poetry. Then I realized how much I like song lyrics.

Awesome photo. Maybe God's eye view?

And then, what 'er may come,We'll taste, e'en here, the hallowed bliss of an eternal home.

When the perfect comes. When we are sinless. Could we taste just briefly what that bliss will be like, to be perfect as Christ is perfect.
