This is the Paul Detlefsen puzzle that my husband and I finished putting together New Year's Eve. We had a large print of this that hung in our family room for years but the one I bought as a teen on the lay-a-way plan was different than this one *s*. I've had a good day, got lots of laundry done and made a large pot of chile for lunch and chicken and rice for supper with peach cobbler for bedtime snack. My husband and son tore out a dividing wall in our garage and will be remodeling the garage into a multipurpose room. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Leaving this day with a Psalm from King David...25:5 "Lead me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." Posted by Picasa

I have been waiting to comment on your site until I put up some knitting projects - which I am doing tonight. Although my blog is not all crafts by any means, it's a "piece of the puzzle."

I'd put a picture of our puzzle, up, too - 1,000 pieces, gorgeous painting of Noah's Ark, - but when we finished after many weeks three pieces were missing.

I then found the same puzzle on EBay, bought it, and discovered it was cut differently and the missing pieces were not in there, either.

Anyway, I am putting you on my blogroll tonight. If you like my site it would be nice if you do the same! Happy knitting!

You will have to post a pic of the finished multipurpose room. That puzzle is one exactly like one we had at home when growing up.
..memories...

So you chose puzzle to spend New Year's Eve in the end... *smile* (we have no word for "puzzle" in French, so we use your word!)

It does sound like you had a good day. That peach cobbler sounds yummy!

I loved the Psalm you shared with us... Thank you, again! :)

The puzzle is stunning Miss Maggie..*VBS* And I suspect the picture even more so. It's got such great contrast...as if the barn couldn't be more red, and as if no color of horse would work as well as the white one.
I can see why you love it..*VBS*

Happy New Year, my dear!

I love prints like this. They're substance is rich. We used to start a puzzle every year just before Christmas and then work on it as we had time during the holidays.

"...and teach me..."

When my mind is set on the Lord, it's wonderful to hear His voice in the small things. And the warmth of the Spirit bearing witness to my spirit that these things are true, cheers my heart beyond measure. These are the moments with God that I ponder and treasure.
