Just taking a break and thought I'd post a hello! Hopefully we will find another tree tomorrow and it will be larger than this pretty little thing which is a 5 footer....I think. In enjoyed decorating it, I don't think I'm going to put tinsel on it but I can always change my mind....a woman's privilege I've heard..*smile*. This picture is a little out of focus...shaky hands me...but I still like it. I crocheted the snowflakes many years ago and have always meant to make more...but somehow...time rolls on past the special plastic bag with the snowflake brochure in it. Some fine day....our tree has an eclectic feel to it..old and new mixed together with gifts from friends. My husband occasionally brings home handcrafted ornaments he is given as gifts while at work. We love them all....great and small. And isn't that how the Lord loves us...great or small...he loves us all. Thats a wonderful truth to know! Leaving you with this thought from God's word...."I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. verse 2. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live." Psalm 116, verses 1& 2. God's voice can be mighty as his thunder and lightening or it can be a still small voice. When we open our hearts to him and submit to his loving authority over us....the windows of heaven open and he pours down joy into our hearts.  Posted by Picasa

beautiful ornaments! I have tons of crochet snowflakes on my tree but they were made by an elderly friend years ago. I love them and the memories I have hanging them on the tree.

Dear Maggie,

I had to smile at your first words because that is exactly what I was telling myself: "I'm gonna take a small break and say "hello" to my friend Maggie!

Your picture is beautiful, and you know what? It is even prettier as it is, just a little blurry...

And your thoughts are so true...
Yes, I love the Lord, because He has shown me His immense caring. Oh to know that the Lord watches over us, always and forever!

Beautiful tree. Here in Norway we don't decorate the tree until the night before Christmas Eva. That's a tradition never to be broken :-)

You crocheted the snowflakes? I never inherited such a talent. We still have crocheted items from my grandmother that we hang on the tree each year although she has long since passed away. Do you have anything handed down like that?

"I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. verse 2. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live"

We used to sing that scripture in a song form years ago. Also brings to mind, 'We love Him because He first loved us'.
