Wishing you all a restful Lord's Day. I've been a model housewife today....ironing is all done and I have a meatloaf in the oven. It's amazing how much I can accomplish when I'm not online = ). But....its all there waiting for me when I am online. Thats the reliable thing about work. There's always an overflow of it waiting for you. Life goes on, the sunshine with the rain. I'm going to spend the evening collaging and thats fun waiting for me. 'An unhurried sense of time is in itself a form of wealth' ...Bonnie Friedman. To not hurry is to be relaxed I think...calm. This is my wish for you tonight, if you have time to look up this wonderful passage in Scripture....Jeremiah 29:11-13. Thankyou for all the lovely comments you left....I'm thankful for every blog friend....you make my life sunny.

How do you make your meatloaf? I never used to like it when I was younger...mom put vegetable soup in it and I think bread crumbs and it used to gross me out.
When my grandmother died in 1989, our neighbour brought over a meatloaf and it was fabulous, and then a friend of my ex-boyfriends had made one one time and it was great...I should have got the recipe from her but didn't...sad. I've grown to like meatloaf now though, but need a good recipe

I will try to get some pics of the sweater I'm making my nephew. It's really quite a simple pattern using Lion Brand Homespun yarn...I got the pattern off the label.
As for the mitten tree at church, every year we put up a tree and people in the church will knit (some buy) mittens, hats, scarves, socks, sweaters, blankets, etc. and some people have even put a few toys under it. The items are donated to various places that the church supports to be handed out to children (and adults if there are adult items) around Christmas. My first Christmas at church (in 2000), I saw the mitten tree and felt the Lord giving me a very strong desire to learn to knit so I could make mittens for the tree. So, once I finally learned, I have now been putting mittens up for the past 3 Christmases (took me a year to finally get someone to teach me to knit lol).
I went for an unhurried stroll with my husband this evening. I think it's been years since we've walked no where for fun like that alone together. It was lovely!
