A few thoughts before I end my day. A blog can be cheerful...like the color yellow. A blog is like a friend...always there for you. My blog is like a telephone....an avenue of opportunity to be in touch with others. It is also an easy way to have company come by without having to dust under the doilies and scrub the bathtub. My blog is the best tranquilizer there is. Visiting back and forth via comments is very relaxing, don't you agree? A blog is a great place to share hobbies, interests, my faith in God and how I trust Him. I'm not sure how I came to have a blog, really. I think I may have accidentally come across some and knew immediately that I wanted one too. I am very thankful that 'blogger' has made it so easy. I love posting pictures and seeing inside the homes and interests of my blogging friends. Another great thing about having a blog is that its a great encourager to one another. (I feel like a school student (elementary *smile*) writing a book report or some such thing.) ..... And, did I mention that a blog gives a person a creative outlet for sharing life with all these words and thoughts and pictures..... Now that the weather has turned cold and the night sky is gorgeously studded with stars, our wood-burner is back in business...sending out a toasty warmth throughout the basement. Life is good, inspite of the sadness that must rub shoulders with us in this world for one reason or another. Almost every day, My heavenly Father makes his sun to shine upon the just and the unjust...because...'God is love'. One of our beloved Pastors' used to say, 'If you come expecting a blessing, you will get it.' This is a good thought to start each day with too. Well, this is the end of my little essay on blogs. Hope you could 'identify' with me. Blessings to you! Posted by Picasa

What a beautiful snapshot you are sharing at the end of you day, Miss Maggie. Your sentiments about Blogger and Blogs echo my own. Something new to have on our list of what we are thankful for...I love the "if you come expecting..." also. Very well put...I think I seldom get the worse of it, as I am always hopeful for the best outcome for everyone, and wait with happy anticipation..Hugs, Finn

yes I agree whole with my whole heart! Blogging is wonderful and I always am amazed when I get a little email someone is reading what I call my "therapy"... I like looking back and seeing what I have done (or not done). I love peeking in on a glimpse of others lives for it is very encouraging to me, just like you maggie!
When the long winter continues, I can always log on and have a visit with a friend, and I dont have to dust my dusty house from our wood stove :)

but ya know what MaggieAnn - sometimes it hurts just a little when people don't leave comments, don't you think? Is that bad ? is it our pride that wants comments or just to know that our thoughts actually matter to others....

Hi Maggie,
Like everyone else here, I am in tune with your sentiments about blogging, and the new friends we make around the world. This planet is growing smaller by the minute, thanks to the Internet! What do you think our Anne Of Green Gables would have thought of it? I think she would have been in her element - and never off her computer with so many people to talk to!!

You shared,
"It is also an easy way to have company come by without having to dust under the doilies and scrub the bathtub."

And bless God for that! Hahaha!

"Now that the weather has turned cold and the night sky is gorgeously studded with stars, our wood-burner is back in business...sending out a toasty warmth throughout the basement. Life is good, inspite of the sadness that must rub shoulders with us in this world for one reason or another."

I love your words. They decorate my imagination sweetly.

When I first viewed what blogs were, I was discouraged because they were laced with accusations and bitter spewings. But then I came across a Christian blog, much like yours, and she showed me that it doesn't have to conform to the world's view of entertaining rhetoric. Like yours, it can be warm and inviting. It can touch the soul and encourage the heart.

Thank you, Maggie Ann, for your love through your blog.
