If this picture of my Gladys Taber collection of books uploads, I'll be one very grateful blogger. I haven't read these for several years but I know when I reach for them ..... they will embrace me in thier homey outlook on life all over again. Posted by Picasa

Good Morning Miss Maggie, thank you for your lovely words over at my place..*S* Questions, Remember Me is a book by Linda Otto Lipsett. It's not a quilt book as much as a women's history. A gathering of information about our lives..most of the "Remember me" comes from how quilts were signed. Women heading west with covered wagons, perhaps never to see their parents, sisters and girl friends again.
The quilt you ask about, isn't minature, it's a full size flannel quilt I made from scraps for my grandson. I've begun using the "crop" feature of my Dell Picture Expert program..enlarging and then cropping. The quilt had been posted before, by me, a full length view..*S*
The quilt quotes are from a little book called "Quilting, Quotations Celebrating An American Legacy".It was compliled by Joyce Steward.

I love the pic of your Gladys Tabor books. I only have the Stillmeandow Cookbook. Altho I've read all or nearly all of hers, including the column she used to write for Good Housekeeping magazine. She's one of my favorite authors, all the way back to my teen years in the 50's...*VBS*

I would be so tempted to sit with a cuppa tea and not get up til I had read them all all over again.

I haven't heard of this author, but that doesn't mean anything; I am not as voracious a reader as some of you! But you have aroused my curiosity, so I will have a look around for her.
