How about a virtual tour of Thomas Jefferson's home of 5 thousand acres in Ablemarle County Va.? I found this site this morning and am really impressed with it. We visited here about 5 years ago and really enjoyed it. It's amazing to step back in time (so to speak). This photo is from 'Webshots'. In browsing the web, I came across a really great article here.......www.seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/traveloutdoors. I got a little ahead of myself here ....the virtual tour is here.....explorer.monticello.org/index.html ......The newspaper article has so many interesting facts about Jefferson. He is quoted as saying "the failure of one thing is repaired by the success of another". I am sure I can post this and you can see it but for the time being I cannot access my blog at all, only through 'Hello' from which I post pictures. Frustrating to say the least. This happened to my blog once before and it just reappeared by itself apparently a couple of days later. My daughter tells me she can access it, but all I see is a page of wallpaper, nothing else. I miss it!
