About to take time out for a cup of tea. This Virginia Rose teacup is a prize of mine. We used to hunt at sales and flea markets like crazy but no longer. The finds were few and far between. We do have dinner plates, and several bowls and some teacups. Our former Pastor and his wife set up housekeeping when they were married with a set of 'Virginia Rose' dishes. My Mom started out with a cheerful set of 'Fiestaware'. Back then, they were square edged. Its so funny, when I stop to think of it, our cubboards are chock full of cheerful 'Fiesta' dishes. We have almost every color out there and I enjoy them all. I can remember way back when I was a little, little girl, one of the great-grandmas' had a plate rack going around the walls of her kitchen about 3 feet from the ceiling, with all different patterns of plates displayed. Imagine a little tot remembering something like that. Who knows, perhaps it influenced my love of dishes. How important our lives are in the eyes of the children, and adults, who watch and observe us! Setting us up on pedestals sometimes. Hebrews 12:1 says..."Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us".
