Last night at church we heard the most stirring message about hell. The Evangelist ended by quoting what some folks' last words were as they were dying. Peaceful, happy comments, or cries of fear and anguish...even acknowledging they are cut off from God and doomed. The rich man in hell is the actual passage that shows the rich man saying..."I am tormented in this flame." Chapter 16 of the book of Luke, verses 19 to 31. I hope you will read this scripture again..and think it through. This is what the first five minutes after taking your last breath on earth will be similar too, if when God has called you to repent and kneel before him here on earth and accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour....you refused. Every day of your life is another opportunity to seek God and his salvation. Millions will think they can do this 'some other time' or at the last hour of their life...and it will be too late. Death can overtake us in sleep or accident....or our minds so sedated with pain killers we cannot think. The choice IS ours...in this hectic, busy and pleasure minded world will we hear the call of God ?....who alone has the power to save, or will we go our busy way...self on the throne...weak, powerless self. Condemned....unclean, full of good intentions but without God...utterly undone. "The Lord, is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, II Peter 3:9b." In the book of Revelation...last chapter...Jesus says again..."Come...and whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." The only sin that will keep you out of heaven, is rejecting Jesus Christ as your own Saviour. Satan would have you just....do nothing. God requires that you bow your heart and knees before him and confess all He says about you is true...and accept his offer of salvation. It cost us nothing...but it cost Almighty God the Crucifixion of his only begotten Son. His sinless holy Son. John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."That makes my heart sing! Does your heart belong to Jesus? Never forget hell is waiting with eternal flame and torment for those that have not bowed their hearts and knees to Jesus. You may say you do not believe that but that does not change Hell one iota. If God says it, I believe it...we also have the last words of those leaving this life when death comes....some pass on with peace and joy, some with agony of fear...seeing glimpses of what is coming. You are precious to God....please come running to Him if you are still reading this and have never accepted Christ as your Saviour. You may pray something like this....Dear God, I confess I am a sinner....I believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins, Please forgive me and take me to heaven when I die. I give my heart and life to you. Help me Lord to live for you. In Jesus name, Amen. Praying for you! ...with all my heart. If you prayed this prayer and MEANT it....you have been redeemed!.....saved from hell and bound for the promised land...Heaven. Do read your Bible...King James Version, and attend a good fundamental Bible believing and teaching church. Pray, and tell others of your decision...they need to hear too. I would love to hear from you at...knittermag...AT....yahoo....dot....Com.

What a beautiful post! I have said the sinner's prayer. You are beautiful person and I'm glad we meet.
I have been on to that site. Not lately so I'll have to take a trip there again soon. I'm working tonight on organizing photos for my kids scrapbooks and a 4x4 chunky book swap about girlscouting. I've got to get that done because it is due on the 15th. So I'm off to my craft room.
Thank you for the link to this vintage photo site. I always love to come across another source. :-)

A life truly spirit-filled will be one of transformation by His power. The proof is in the pudding.
Hell is indeed a real place. It's makes me sick inside just to think of it. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy because I know there is no coming back from there. Now is the time of salvation, while there is still breath in us.
Love your passion, Maggie Ann.
Hey Maggie Ann, what an incredible website you have led us to! I'm going to put a link to it on my blog (with thanks to you). How can anybody get bored in this new millenium with all this fantastic old and new stuff available on the Internet?
our world has made hell a fun place ... your post paints the true picture ... a place that eternally separates one from God ... i shudder at the thought ...
i'm so happy to be FOUND in HIM who REDEEMED my sinful heart and made me PURE in CHRIST!!!
blessings on you, dear one!
His desire is that 'none shall perish! We can never be reminded too often of the final outcome of life here on earth. The message you heard today reminds me of a book I once had, "Dying Testimonies of the Saved and Unsaved" ... written in the 1800's ... very powerful first hand witnesses to death recounted. I have three projects to finish up this month ... then I think I may just try the Wednesday Stamper challenge... (sewing a curtain valance, recovering a vanity stool for my master bath ... and reworking my bedroom curtains into one way pull drapes) ...
Thanks for the link to the vintage site--I've been looking for something like this!
I'm praying that the good news of salvation will reach many through your willingness share the Truth in love!
Blessings-Claudia O.
