My Shamrock....

My Shamrock is messy because the delicate flowers die off daily and make a tangled mess that hangs over the edge of the pot. But! .....Every day the shamrocks open and new flowers spring up, delicate and yet sturdy, no matter what the weather is like!   (It has tubers instead of roots)     I like the way the shamrocks open every morning and close up at night. It is undoubtedly my favorite houseplant. As I was watering it this morning, I thought to make it the item of interest on my blog. What is your favorite houseplant?  Wax  begonia would be my second favorite.
I just looked up its info and learned that there are more than 800 species of Lucky Shamrock, or Oxalis Regnelii.  I was amazed to see that there are Shamrocks with red leaves, or  red flowers, pink ones, all kinds of variations.  I want, I want.....I want....

I always loved having pots of Shamrocks. They are easy to divide and make more pots too. Enjoy your afternoon sweet friend. Enjoy your pretty flowers!

Yes you have to be careful with anything on face book, but so for
I have gotten some good books for free.
Hope you feel better soon, maybe warm weather will help.
Hugs to you

I don't know if I have a favorite house plant. I can't seem to keep plants alive, so I try not to get too attached.
