Trusting in the Lord with all my heart....

I-tunes had this fun app on for free...'Etchings', and I really liked it, especially this Ben Franklin design.
You can put any of your own pictures in the center,  from your camera roll.

Please remember us in your prayers....my husband is having serious colon surgery soon.  We are trusting our Father in heaven all will be well.  It will be complicated.  Claiming Proverbs 3: 5&6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding...

This book is what I am re-reading right now.  It is a gem...I can't tell you how many times the author has caused me to laugh and think.....One of the main characters is a born again Christian....whose Mom named her Eldeen.  Reverse those letters and you get 'needle'.  I love it!  Free smiles, come & get'm.

This is a true account and I hope I get 'into' it soon before it is due back at the library.  Thats the trouble with borrowing...it puts a pinch on you to read it ....now!   I've read a little and it IS interesting!  but...I'm totally into 'Suncatchers'.

And 'My Three Sons' is a gem.  We have a tiny under the counter tv in the kitchen, and I plug this is and try to watch at least one episode a day.  Its like sunshine and smiles...what a hoot!  I'm thinking of buying Episode 2.   I like the first seasons better than the  last ones.

I was researching some hip 'stuff' online and found the perfect description of what ails me...and I have bursitis!  I guess its ibuprofin and maybe phys. therapy for me soon.   My Mom warned me never to get old....and my lands, she was right. =)

Psalm 116:1,2  I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. 2. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.    7. Return unto thy rest, O my soul....

I'll look for these books. If you like them, I know I will too. We have Andy Griffith on DVD and sometimes put it in the tv to watch while we eat lunch. Sweet hugs, Diane

Maggie Ann,

I followed your charming comment from Miss Patsy's blog---don't you just love her and Mr. The Bennie? I know that with your faith and love and a Guiding Hand on that surgeon's skilled ones, your dear Husband will be whole and healed very soon.

Your tale of Needsie was absolutely so sweet---I can just see that household of women, several ages and temperaments, and how they go about their days together, making beautiful handiwork, as they chat and share memories and fellowship right there at home.

It so struck me, for I'm setting up another blog, to which I'm transferring some little vignettes of an imaginary little Southern town called Paxton. Most of the folks are ones I've known, or composites of several, or even people I'd LIKE to know and neighbor with. If you'd not mind, I'd love to include your ladies in a little telling sometime; I am so struck by your words and the charm of that life of other days, with its slower pace and the feminine aura of the comfortable house. And especially your own sweet memories of such a welcoming place.

If you'd ever like to look in, my blogs are LAWN TEA: http://lawntea.blogspot.com/

and the new one about Paxton:

If it's all right to "borrow some memories" I'd love to think a bit on your wonderful memories---just this glimpse has made such a sweet impression.

Thank you SO much for the sweet comment, and the permission to "remember" your family from my imagination. The way you tell them is wonderful, and I hope you WILL write a post (or more) on them soon.

I think we must have crossed paths just now, for I signed on a minute ago to come HERE, and you'd just visited LAWN TEA. It's a bit like neighbors strolling over and leaving a pretty card on the tray in the hall.

I hope you WILL visit Paxton, an meet some of my people---I picked the picture for the header (MY it is ENORMOUS, and I didn't tone it down), because of the lush glory of the rose, and the few withered petals, and blemished ones, and I'm sure there's a thorn or two in there).

I hope your Dear Husband is doing well, and send thoughts and prayers for his quick recovery. And YOU, too, as you tend and wait beside him---I've sat many, many hours in hospitals, and I send a prayer for Waiting Grace, as well.

Thank you, Thank you, Maggie Ann!

I never use anyone's real name, for I totally believe in respect for privacy.

It will be several weeks, I imagine, before I can really think out a little profile, for we've just started picking counter-tops and cabinets for a re-do of the second kitchen downstairs. It's just a little corner of a thing, but where I do most of our meals and cakes and such.

I know we'll be in a mess for a time, so I'll think on it a while, and mostly write at nights when the house is quiet.

Oh, yes, we will keep your hubby in prayer! I hope all goes well. Know we will be thinking about you both and praying for a great outcome. Great books you are reading. The name Eldeen is so awesome, backwards for needle! I am looking forward to seeing a praise-ful post-op post! All my best, dear friend.
